Kathleen Wilson is the co-founder and Executive Director of Mary’s Shelter in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a nonprofit that provides housing and support for pregnant women and their children who have nowhere else to turn. What began in 2007 as a single basement apartment has grown under Kathleen’s leadership into six homes, serving hundreds of mothers and families with practical resources, education, and a safe place to rebuild their lives.

A lifelong advocate for the vulnerable, Kathleen’s own journey of faith and family has deeply shaped her mission. She and her husband, David, are the proud parents of twelve adopted and biological children, with stories stretching from Fredericksburg to Thailand. Through Mary’s Shelter, Kathleen has helped create a model of compassion and accountability that has inspired similar programs across the country. She believes the work is never about one person, but about giving women the tools and opportunities to discover their own strength.
